Zootechnical Engineer (1997) from the University of Évora and Master’s degree in Food Science and Engineering (2003) from the Technical University of Lisbon.
Senior technician at the University of Évora, with extensive experience in the management and organization of laboratories focused on technology, quality, and animal nutrition, as well as in the coordination and execution of research and development projects in the agri-food sector.
Actively participates in innovation, certification, and regional product valorization initiatives, contributing to scientific and technical advancement in the fields of Animal Science and Food Sciences.
Pre-Bologna degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon and PhD in Chemistry (Biochemistry) from the University of Évora. Associate Professor in the Department of Medical and Health Sciences, School of Health and Human Development. Integrated member of the HERCULES Laboratory & IN2PAST. Her current research interests include bioprospecting of bioactive extracts from seasoning plants, healthy eating and the Mediterranean Diet, functional foods, and phytotherapy. Co-author of several indexed publications (>50) in Scopus (h-index = 20). Author of numerous oral presentations (>50) and poster communications (>150) at International Scientific Congresses.
